Workouts + #BHLChallenge Week 3

Good morning and Happy Monday! Lots to talk about today, so let’s get started. But first a sneak peek from my photos I will be sharing tomorrow:

Last Week’s Workouts

Pretty good week – started off super strong on Monday! I am loving my strength workouts. I am using machines at the gym I haven’t used before.

Monday – 2.5 hours of fun and sweaty workouts at the TDF Studio
Tuesday – Rest
Wednesday – Lean & Strong Workout A + 15 minute elliptical
Thursday – Hair & Family Dinner
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Lean & Strong Workout B + 10 minute elliptical + 5 minutes boxing
Sunday – Nature Walk (photos coming tomorrow)

Check out what I bought! PINK Boxing Gloves! Our gym has a whole boxing/MMA room and I decided to take advantage of it, but first I needed gloves. Anyone have advice for putting them on yourself? The first one is easy, the second one requires some skill.

This Week’s Workouts

Monday – Lean & Strong Workout A
Tuesday – TBD (quite possibly walking)
Wednesday – Lean & Strong Workout B
Thursday – Cornea Surgery
Friday – Recovery
Saturday – TBD
Sunday – TBD

I really have no idea how long I will be down after my cornea surgery, so I am just going to play it by ear. I will definitely get in two good workouts before Thursday.

How do you plan to #MoveItMonday? Even if only 10 minutes, try to get some activity in today. Be sure and check out #MoveItMonday’s website for some workout ideas. Love this from MoveItMonday over the weekend:

Better Healthy Living Challenge

Now, let’s talk Better Healthy Living Challenge! We want to hear how you did last week! Be sure and post your checkin about the NUTRITION challenge last week HERE. You need to post or share #BHLchallenge on social media to be entered to win some fun prizes!!!

We are in WEEK 3 now. We can all stand to make more healthy changes in our life. So, this week our challenge is focusing on better health, which can mean a variety of things. Here are some ideas:

  • Get more sleep. Set a bed time and stick to it!
  • Take time out of the day for yourself – even if it is just 15 minutes.
  • Set up a long awaited doctor’s appointment.
  • Enjoy dinner as a family.
  • Try out a meatless Monday.
  • Start and keep a personal health record (keep track of all medications, allergies, food journal, exercise habits, etc.). You never know when this will come in handy!
  • Get some HAPPY in your life. Did you know laughing lowers blood pressure and can also boost your immune system?

My goal for this week is getting checked out from head to toe. I have a followup appointment with my foot doctor about the nerve problem in my toes, a yearly mammogram, and cornea surgery.

Finally, Erin with Girl Gone Veggie has won the consultation with Anna Lisa from The Complexion Concierge.

How was your weekend? Any big plans for the week ahead? What healthy changes do you need to make in your life?

Have a healthy day!
