Weekly Workouts & Remember How . . .

Good morning and Happy Monday! Did you have a great weekend? We had a good weekend. Dinner and some TV Friday night with hubby. Saturday I had a 31 meeting and did some household chores. Saturday night we hit up our favorite sushi place. Sunday was laundry, resting, and hubby did a 5K (I cheered). In case you missed my past couple of posts:

One of the reasons I enjoy Fall is because I get to bring this guy out onto the front porch! Isn’t he cute?

Happy Fall

And guess what, my knockout roses are still blooming:

Knockout Roses

My workouts for the past week:

  • Monday – rest day
  • Tuesday – 10 minute arms, 10 minute stretch, 37 minute walk
  • Wednesday – 10 minute arms, 10 minute stretch
  • Thursday – 10 minute arms, 10 minute stretch, 20 minutes treadmill, 10 minutes arc trainer
  • Friday – 10 minute arms, 10 minute stretch, 10 minute elliptical
  • Saturday – 15 minute elliptical, 10 minute arms, 10 minute stretch
  • Sunday – 20 minutes elliptical

I hit my 210 minutes (two percent) this week. I know it seems that’s a lot of arm work, but it is just a 10 minute video and I switch the weights every day. I will say the arc trainer kicked my butt. That’s one machine at the gym I need to get on more (cross between an elliptical and a stair stepper). I am also continuing to do a plank every other day. I seem to be stuck at 45 seconds.

I am really enjoying FitnessGlo for the arm and stretching video. I need to explore the site some more and find some other videos I enjoy.

I know a lot of people really like to have a hard workout on Mondays to get the week started out right. It is working for me to make it a rest day. Gives me a chance to prep for the rest of the week.

I found this on Facebook and wanted to share. When you start to make that unhealthy food decision or skip your workout, think about this:

Also, don’t forget these weight loss tips from Tanee that I shared with you on Friday. She has lost TWO HUNDRED pounds so she definitely knows what she is talking about.

What did you do this weekend? Do you have a particular day of the week that is your rest day? Which one and why?

Have a healthy day!

  1. I used to map out rest days—MONDAYS—until I realized I needed to let my body pick those days.
Now it varies wildly each week.

  2. I usually end up letting my schedule dictate my rest days- I need to NOT do that though because it usually means I have too many 🙁 I love that Remember How graphic!
