Weekly Workout Schedule

Monday - Let's Do This

Good morning and Happy Monday! I am off to a brand new eye doctor today – an ophthalmologist. Wish me luck! While part of my issues are normal getting older stuff, I also have some eye problems that haven’t been addressed/reviewed in years. All of my doctors appointments remind me to be very thankful that we have good insurance.

Let’s talk workouts . . .

Last Week’s Workouts

Last week I decided to try something new and set what I wanted to take, but not on the specific days. I planned to do:

  • 2 group circuit classes
  • 2 core barre classes
  • 1 yoga class
  • 30-45 minutes on the treadmill or other cardio machine (combined)

My actual workouts were:

Monday – Rest Day – I was so sore from Saturday/Sunday and knew I had the group circuit class Tuesday
Tuesday – 25 minutes on the treadmill + 60 minute group circuit class
Wednesday – 25 minutes on the treadmill + 60 minute Core Barre class
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – 30 minutes on the treadmill
Saturday – 15 minutes on the treadmill + 60 minute group circuit class + 25 minute HIIT class
Sunday – 60 minute yoga class

I Feel short of my goal (missed 1 Core Barre class), but still got in some great workouts. I am noticing that after two days of workouts, my body needs a rest day the next.

This Week’s Workouts

Dare I change it up again and play it by ear? I think I will. I know I will get to the gym, that is no longer a question. Luckily there are classes I want to take every day plus there is always weight machines, free weights, etc. that I can do.

And with the time change, I may add walking outdoors to my list of weekly activities. I am not doing as many 5Ks this year, but still enjoy getting fresh air.

I don’t have a whole lot going on this week besides work and working out, so it should be a fairly calm week ahead.

  2. I’m sore from my Saturday/Sunday workout too! Shew! Looking forward to a rest day today but might take a walk later. Different muscles don’t count right? Have a super day!
