Weekly Workout Schedule

Good morning and Happy Monday! First Monday of March! As I finish this blog up, the temps are dropping and we are expecting rain, sleet, ice, and snow this morning. Fun times. Quite possibly this could be a work from home kind of day. Just praying the power stays on.

My March Start Living Healthy newsletter went out over the weekend. If you are not a subscriber, you can read it HERE. If you want to subscribe, head to my health coach website and enter your email address. I promise it is only once per month.

Let’s talk workouts . . .

Last Week’s Workouts

Scheduled: Core Barre or Deep Water Pool (depends on my hip)
Actual: 35 minute treadmill + 60 minute deep water pool class

Scheduled: Hair cut and color (rest day)
Actual: Rest/Hair Day

Scheduled: Body Combat
Actual: 10 minute treadmill + 60 minute core barre class

Core Barre Stats

Scheduled: HIIT Training
Actual: 40 minute treadmill (not feeling well)

Scheduled: Probably a rest day
Actual: Rest Day

Scheduled: Level 1 Training or Yoga and/or Core Barre (so many options)
Actual: 10 minute treadmill + Group Circuit Class + Lots of Housework (including washing windows)

Group Circuit Stats

Scheduled: Body Combat
Actual: 60 minute Yoga

Between my group circuit class and all the housework I did Saturday, my arms are SORE. The good kind of sore, but still sore. I decided yesterday to switch up body combat for yoga to try and ready stretch my muscles. Besides yoga at 5PM on a Sunday is a great way to end the weekend!

This Week’s Workouts

I am going to try something different this week. I often change up what I think I am going to do when I get to the gym. So, this week my goal is:

  • 2 group circuit classes
  • 2 core barre classes
  • 1 yoga class
  • 30-45 minutes on the treadmill or other cardio machine (combined)

This gives me a little more flexibility but still ensures I will have a great week of workouts. I am hoping to start doing back to back classes a couple days a week.

Things ahead this week: a physical with my brand new doctor, a dentist appointment (oh joy), and BOWLING!!!

How was your weekend? Any big plans for the week ahead?

Have a healthy day!

  1. weekend was fun… good mix of friends, family, and relaxation ๐Ÿ™‚ my hubs just received his special olympics bowling certification! ๐Ÿ™‚

I try to get 180 minutes of activity /week. Most of the time I make it, sometimes I don’t. Most of this is running, and I am TRYING to make a date with myself for the Tread-N-Shed class every Thursday. I consider it a “training” session. Other than that, I aim for 1 or 2 more days at the gym, and a longer run over the weekend.

Could you describe the barre classes, the moves, the music? My nephew’s g-friend says they are a great workout! I am a little nervous about trying it, though, because I am not very coordinated for “dance” moves.

Hey Missy! Watch this youtube video:

. It is VERY similar to the class I did last night. There are really no dance moves – but you occasionally you have your feet/arms in ballet positions. Lots of small controlled movements. You will definitely feel the burn. Let me know what you think!
