Weekly Workout Roundup

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and that all moms and moms-to-be had a great Mother’s Day. We celebrated with our moms and our usual crab and shrimp boil. Here I am with my Mom:

Let’s talk workouts . . .

Last Week’s Workouts

Monday – 20 minute treadmill, 60 minute Core Barre
Tuesday – 60 minute Core Barre
Wednesday – 30 minute treadmill, 60 minute Core Barre
Thursday – Planned rest day to get my hair cut and colored
Friday – Speed mowing
Saturday – 60 minute Yoga + house cleaning
Sunday – 30 minute walk outside

As you can see, the first of the week was Core Barre heavy. You can read about my love for Core Barre.

Friday’s speed mowing was definitely a workout. I cannot stand our mower and I actually cannot start it by myself. The cord is too long for my arms. I decided mid morning to try to mow myself while hubby was at work (and I was working from home). The yard was getting out of control and we were expecting rain. I went outside and spent about 10 minutes trying to start it myself with no luck. Then it started pouring so I gave it. The rain stopped quickly and my mom called to let me know she could run up. A few minutes before she arrived I went out again and tried to start it. No luck. But, it was warmed up enough that when Mom got here to hold it, it only took 3 attempts to start it. Stupid mower. By then, rain was threatening again, so I sped mowed the yard. It looks good, but not perfect. The rain started for good about 10 minutes after I stopped. It was definitely a workout in that it got my heart rate up and it is a full push mower, not self-propelled at all.

This Week’s Workouts

No mowing this week. Thank goodness. Here are my tentative plans:

Monday – Core Barre
Tuesday – Core Barre
Wednesday – Core Barre
Thursday – Planned rest day to clean, pack, and prepare for my weekend away
Friday – TBD (probably a second rest day)
Saturday – Get certified in Train Dirty Fitness (working out 9-3 ish)
Sunday – Nature walk (morning) + 1 mile fun walk (afternoon)
