Weekly Workout Roundup

Happy Monday! How are you doing? Did you have a great weekend? I forgot to share my April Start Living Healthy newsletter with you last week. You can check it out HERE. You can also sign up to receive my monthly newsletter by going to my health coach website at http://www.glenneth.com.

So, Friday, these arrived:

Reebok Skyscape

Brand new PINK Reebok Skyscape shoes. I have been seeing quite a few bloggers discuss them and decided to try them since they are super cute. Sadly they are being returned today. While I ordered the same size I wear in Brooks, the Reeboks were definitely too big. I wanted to exchange them for a different size, but Reebok only has a return option. That means I would have to reorder the shoes. Normally that would be no big deal, but I got a deal on the shoes with a onetime coupon. So, I would pay MORE the second time around. They are cute, but not that cute and definitely not something I NEED.

Also on tap this weekend? My 31 Celebrate and Connect meeting. I will definitely be sharing some of the cute new items and pattens with you. I got a TON of housework done and lots of much needed REST.

Let’s talk workouts . . .

Last Week’s Workouts

Monday – 30 minute treadmill + hot tub (super sore from weekend workout)
Tuesday – 10 minute walk, 60 minute Core Barre
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Rest Day
Sunday – Rest Day

So, you probably notice something – FIVE rest days in a row. Yes, FIVE. I was super sore coming into the week and knew I would take some down time. Then by Wednesday after my foot doctor appointment (more on that later), I had to take a nap before I could go to an evening meeting. By Thursday I figured out WHY I was so tired. No caffeine. I hadn’t had (and still haven’t had) any diet sodas for the week. While I am not giving them up completely, I am drastically cutting back and I think that played a major role in how tired I was.

Mondays

This Week’s Workouts

This week’s goals will be to get back on track. The best part is that I actually did miss the gym and my workouts. But I knew I needed to rest. Not only did I feel tired, I looked exhausted.

Monday – Core Barre
Tuesday – Group Circuit Class
Wednesday – Core Barre or Rest (depending on how I am feeling)
Thursday – Core Barre
Friday – Treadmill or Rest (depending on how I am feeling)
Saturday – Mother/Daughter Shopping Day
Sunday – Yoga

I am not going to try to do any back-to-back classes this week so I can get back into the swing of things.

Update on my foot appointment: I do have ingrown toenails on both my big toes. They aren’t bad and certainly aren’t infected. Apparently mine are the genetic type. My plan is to wait until after the summer to have the minor surgery needed to fix them. If they start hurting or start to look infected, I will have them taken care of immediately.

How do you plan to #MoveItMonday? Even if only 10 minutes, try to get some activity in today. I am definitely looking forward to Core Barre this evening and moving my body again. I also need to fit in my stretch FitnessGlo video.

How was your weekend? Any big plans for the week ahead?

Have a healthy day!

Hey there! Last week I hit my goal of 180 min. of activity. I had a 1 hr. run Tues., Tread N Shed Thursday, light weight lifting Thurs. evening, and a long run Sunday (1:04, 5.67 mi.).
This week I am planning to do short weights & ~1 hr. run Tues., Tread N Shed Thurs., and another 20-30 min. at the gym Thurs. evening (while my daughter does a Kids In Motion class), and the Spring Sprint 5K on Saturday morning. I’m also hoping to do some hiking with the family on the weekend.
Thanks for always sharing your workouts here- you’re doing a great job!!
