Good morning and Happy Monday! Can you believe today is the LAST day of June? Seriously time is flying by. Thankful that this is a FOUR day work week for me and probably many of you.
I mentioned a while back on my blog that I wanted to make Lindsay’s Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potato Wedges. I attempted it last night and they were delicious. I did add some extra cayenne so they were super spicy, but I still tasted the sweet as well.
Let’s talk workouts . . .
Last Week’s Workouts
Monday – 20 minutes on the treadmill. Was seriously not feeling it.
Tuesday – Women’s Networking Dinner (LOVED THIS)
Wednesday – 2 rounds weights in the circuit room, 10 minutes on the arc trainer, 5 minutes on the treadmill
Thursday – 2 rounds weights in the circuit room, 20 minutes on step trainer
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – 2 rounds weights in the circuit room, 10 minutes elliptical, 5 minutes treadmill
Sunday – Rest Day
Overall, I had a pretty good week. Once again, I always forget just how good I feel after lifting weights. And I know that you shouldn’t do weights on back-to-back days, but I figured since I took 6+ months off, it couldn’t hurt. I will say that I was tired and sore after each weight lifting session. I tried to vary the weight and the reps each time. And my sessions on the cardio were more HIIT and not steady state cardio.
This Week’s Workouts
This is going to be another busy week, but I am definitely planning to get my workouts in. Plus, I have a 5K on Thursday night.
Monday – Weights + HIIT Cardio
Tuesday – S’s Pre-K Graduation
Wednesday – Weights + HIIT Cardio
Thursday – Fireball 5K (late evening)
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Weights + HIIT Cardio
Sunday – Walking or Biking
