First Fire of the Season

Hello and Happy Monday! A huge thanks to all of our veterans!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was highly productive on Saturday with rest and a 5K on Sunday. We even turned the gas fireplace on for the first time this season. Sunday was so warm I wore a running skirt and tank top to the 5K. Today the high will be 64. Tomorrow the high will be 40. Time to break out the warm clothes and big jacket!

Weekly Workout Review

I had a great week of workouts and did 265 minutes of activity (210 minutes = 2% of your week). My workouts went like this:

5 minute treadmill
20 minute arms weights
10 minute arc trainer
5 minute treadmill
10 minute stretch

5 minute treadmill
20 minute leg weights
15 minute treadmill

5 minute treadmill
20 minute arms
10 minutes arc trainer
5 minute treadmill
10 minute stretch

40 minutes treadmill

10 minute stretch

10 minute stretch

10 minute stretch
55 minutes walking a 5K

The new weight lifting program I am following is great. However, by Thursday I was feeling it. And not just in that good sore way where you know you worked out. I had some significant pains in certain areas, so I cut back to just cardio and stretching for the rest of the week. I will be taking today as a rest day and back at the weights on Tuesday. Here’s hoping for a little less pain this week.

My tentative schedule for the week:

Monday – rest day + stretching
Tuesday – arms/legs + stretching
Wednesday – cardio + stretching
Thursday – arms/legs + stretching
Friday – possible rest day or more cardio
Saturday – walking while hubby does a trail race
Sunday – rest day (31 event)
