Weekend In Review

Hello and Happy Monday! Let’s catch up. Friday after work hubby and I went to dinner with friends. I tried a Carolina Hurricane. It was okay, but not great. But doesn’t it look festive?

WIR-1

My peony is BLOOMING! I have been stalking my peony this year since I only have 3 blooms. This is the first. We are expecting thunderstorms today and I am afraid they will get beaten down.

WIR-2

Saturday morning I woke up and headed straight to the gym. I was doing Flex It Pink’s Girls Run the World Virtual 5K. I opted to do mine in the cardio theater at the gym. Love the BLING! While I purposely walked slower, I found the time went by much faster than a road race 5K. I think because I was reading a book and listening to music.

WIR-5

After my 5K, I headed home to shower and change. I was meeting a friend for lunch and running errands. My outfit was casual and comfortable. Those tennies are by Merrell and they are super comfortable. After all my errands, I came home and did laundry and cleaned the house.

WIR-6

Made my Fitbit happy on Saturday!

Sunday morning hubby and our friend J ran a half marathon I got to have breakfast with J’s wife and the munchkin while we waited on them.

WIR-3

The munchkin ran the last part of the race with the guys and the fabulous race people gave her a medal. She was so excited.

WIR-4

Sunday afternoon I walked a one mile fun run while hubby and another friend ran the 5K. You know what is awesome after a hot walk? Shaved ice!!! The race organizers allowed a Kona Ice truck park on site and sell shaved ice. It was fabulous and I am now a firm believer that they should be at all races in the summer. My fitbit was happy with me again Sunday.

I went with my family to a friend’s barbecue, where Dead End BBQ was catering and The Black Lilies played. The weather was perfect, beer was cold, food was great and the music was wonderful ! So thankful for great friends!
