Hello and Happy Wednesday! Today is my Friday because I leave for the beach TOMORROW! Am I packed? Nope. Nothing is in a bag. I have laid a few things out. Guess what I will be doing tonight? Hubby did check my car out and I cleaned the windows really well. No point washing the car since it will need a good bath when we return.
Thought I would share some “wisdom” I have found on Facebook and other social networks with you.
There are no magic pills, shots, foods, etc. It is all about making small changes to your lifestyle. Remember – you want to make changes that you can do FOR LIFE. Quick fix diets where you lose weight rapidly in a month or two usually aren’t sustainable. Once you stop, the weight will come back on. Why not just work for it instead? Accept it will take time and make the changes you know you can sustain for life. You didn’t put on 20, 40, 60 pounds overnight. Why do you expect it to come off overnight?
WOW! 34 hours of watching TV and only 2 hours of exercising. We definitely have warped priorities here in the USA. You don’t have to give up TV however. DVR your favorite shows and use them as a reward AFTER you workout. You could also set up a treadmill, elliptical, or free weights in front of the TV and work out DURING your favorite show. Change your workouts to the morning and you will be free for TV in the evening.
Love yourself. Don’t try the “magic pills/shots” or restricted diets. Love yourself enough to eat enough HEALTHY food to properly fuel your body, make EXERCISE a priority, and get enough sleep.
