Good morning and Happy Hump Day! Wednesday already! I saw the doctor yesterday. He gave me the green light to move forward with exercise, although to go slow and build up. That’s exactly what I intend to do. In the past 7 months I have had two major leg surgeries and have exercised very little. I am essentially starting over building up my strength and endurance. I also have to get back into the routine of regular exercise. It is so easy (at least for me) to get out of healthy routines.
Last night I went for a walk. These were my results from my Jawbone UP. I am also out of the routine of wearing my Garmin.
This was my longest walk since the most recent surgery. It was a great walk. Felt good to stretch my legs. I have a plan to build up to walking 5Ks again. I don’t want to rush anything and possibly injure myself again. So, my return to walking 5Ks will be August 3rd. I am registered for the Hotter N Hell 5K here in Knoxville. That gives me two months to build up mileage and endurance – and adjust to the Knoxville summer heat.
My Yoga and Hoops class starts TOMORROW. Cannot wait to see what the class entails. I will be sure and give you an update.
Guess what else I did yesterday? Ordered my ErinCondren.com life planner. Here is the cover I ordered:
This is called the Instagram cover, but I choose to NOT have a photo on it. I like it better without. Love that it is so colorful. I also ordered these fun accessories – new markers, customized stickers, and elastic bands to hold the planner together.
The customized stickers are a new option. Mine says Walk, Race, Health Coach, Workout, and Go Vols. You could get all the columns the same or customize each individual sticker. I did each column the same and ordered two sheets of them.
The anticipate ship date is June 13th which puts it here in plenty of time for its July 1st start date. I will be sure to take pictures once it arrives. One of the things I love about Erin Condren products is the packaging. They want you to know you are opening something special.
To all you runners out there – Happy National Running Day. Enjoy your run!
Any advice for getting back into a regular exercise routine? If you are a runner, are you doing anything special for National Running Day? What kind of planner do you use?
Enjoy your day!
