Fitness Goals for 2016

I haven’t completely finished/finalized my goals for 2016, but I wanted to get some of my fitness goals in writing. Here we go.

Bench press 165 pounds. This goal definitely goes back on the list for 2016. I am currently at 80 pounds, so this year this is a doable goal.

Walk six 5Ks and do race recaps. I will probably wind up walking more than six, but I want to walk six 5Ks and blog about them with photos. My race recaps could have been better last year, so that’s something I will work on. I also don’t want to commit to more than 6 in case of more foot/leg issues.

Bike Cades Cove. I want to bike Cades Cove with hubby at least once (but hopefully many more times). This goal does one thing – forces me to get back on my bike and/or bike trainer. I have a fabulous bike that hubby bought me and I have shied away from it for a couple of years now. Time to get back in the saddle.

Work on Total Body Strength. Time to up my strength training. I plan on two total body strength sessions per week (either at the gym or at home).

  1. Congrats on the ebook Glenneth! I love to bike and use my trainer as cross training. I also want to get stronger this year. Focusing on quality over quantity in my workouts. Less junk miles on the running and more time on strength training.
