Updated Summer Bucket List & Answers

Hello! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I spent Monday afternoon/evening doing heavy cleaning around the house (dusting, vacuuming, washing everything, etc.) to try to get rid of the ants. I went through about 1/2 a can of Raid in two rooms. I was too tired to even think about blogging that evening, just wanted to relax/sleep. My sleep was interrupted by a MASSIVE storm in the area, so I wound up sleeping in. I am much better today!

The house cleaning on Monday counted as my activity. All 4.5 hours of it. Last night I did 20 minutes of H.I.I.T. on the elliptical and then 3 – 30 sec planks each followed by a 30 second bridge. Check out this article by Tamara about planks and bridges.

Great post-workout snack? Orange slices that have been in the freezer during the workout!

Dinner last night was some garlic loaf with baby Brie cheese. There is nothing better than bread fresh out of the oven and a good cheese!

It has been about 3 weeks since I published My Summer Bucket List, so I thought I would update it!

Peanut Butter and Jenny

Let’s catch up on the blog challenge over at Peanut Butter and Jenny.

Question 9: What’s your food philosophy?

Everything in moderation, nothing is off limits. I don’t believe in eliminating entire food groups or specific foods from my diet. That will just make me crave it more.

Question 10: Write about someone who inspires you.

WOW! What a tough question. I think I am going with a group of people. I am going to say all of the health and fitness bloggers that put everything out there – especially before and after photos. Those are inspiring and motivational!

Question 11: Write about the worst injury that you have ever had.

Luckily, I have not had many injuries. The story of my worst injury is kind of funny. I was in fourth grade and I was trying to invent a new sport – ROLLER TENNIS! Yes, I was playing tennis on roller skates on our carport. I went to pick up the ball, lost my balance, and my wrist fell on the tennis ball. At the time, my parents thought I had just sprained it. I could still lift the Koolaid pitcher! By the end of the week, it continued to hurt and we went to the doctor. I had broken the wrist in three places and had to have it set. That was some of the worst pain ever. They tried to get me to sleep (without pills or anything) before they set it. Umm, no. I was wayyyy too anxious for that to happen. I think the doctor re-setting my arm hurt worse than the actual breaking of my arm.

What’s your food philosophy? Your worst injury? Share in the comments!

Enjoy your day!

  1. my food philosophy… i’m an intuitive eater…i eat what I want when I want 🙂

love that you’ve completed and are in progress on lots of your bucket list items!

  2. Hooray for bridging!
Glad to see you’ve added it to your program.
And did you know that a generation ago, women burned about 1000 calories a day doing housework?
Maybe we all just need to vacuum and wash floors a bit more!

  3. YOu know I’m with you on food philosophy. Put something off limits and it’s all I will want or be able to think about and will have it in excess from that mindset.
