Tuesday's Healthy Thoughts . . .

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! Hope your week started out fantastically! I had a great day at work and a productive evening – Planet Fitness, grocery store, health coach studying, and more.

One of the things I needed to get at the grocery store was stuff for dinner. We had turkey burger sliders and grilled baked beans. I joke with hubby that everything tastes better smaller and on slider buns.

What post would be complete without a flower picture? My hydrangeas are so beautiful even if they haven’t fully bloomed. In case I haven’t told you, this hydrangea was originally part of my great-grandmother’s flower. Then it went to my grandmother, my mom, and now me. So, not just a flower, but a part of our family.

Most of us are crave sweets at one point or another. Here are some healthy choices that should satisfy your craving. One of my favorite sweet treats is to take raspberries and put a dark chocolate chip in them.

Remember that every day is a new day and a fresh start. Did you binge yesterday or skip your workout? Forgive yourself and move on. Make better choices today. And don’t forget to drink your water!

I love this one. I have seen it before. So perfect! Especially ignoring the haters and the doubters. And I would add the “negative nellies.” Seems some people out there love nothing more than putting down other people. Ignore them. There are plenty of positive and motivational people out there – find them!

Exercise to be fit

Small changes. That’s what it is all about. Most of us can’t completely change our life overnight. It takes small changes and building new healthy habits. Eventually these small changes equal big changes in your life.

This is where I am today – SORE MUSCLES. I did weights on Saturday and again last night. I am trying to get my body ready for Tina’s bootcamp which starts on Monday. Also, lifting weights makes me feel strong and powerful. I had forgotten how much I love weights since I haven’t done them the past 7 months. I am trying to make sure not to overdo it – too fast, too soon.
