Six Things Sunday

Good morning and Happy Sunday! I slept 11 hours last night. Can you tell I was tired? Thankfully I had scheduled today to be a rest day from activity. The only things I need to get done involve me sitting at the computer or on the couch. There is a very good chance I won’t get out of my PJs all day.

Since today is Sunday, let’s talk about six quick things:

1. Catch the Leprechaun 5K Race Recap

It is going to be a long, hot summer if it was 80 degrees on March 17th. Definitely going to have to get used to the heat and humidity again. I finished the 5K in 54:19. Not even close to my PR, but truly, I felt lucky to finish. I am still having the problem with my left calf/foot going completely numb during walks. Even after proper fuel, proper hydration, massaging, making sure my laces were too tight, and stretching before the race, nothing helped. After 1 mile, I was in pain. I do believe it is time to see the doctor.

2. Car Shopping

Yesterday wasn’t the ideal day to car shop since it kept raining off and on. I still went to two car dealers (Toyota and Hyundai) just to look (not test drive) and see if I could eliminate one in the beginning. Pretty sure Hyundai is out. While they have some great features, some of the details of the car look old and dated. Planning to test drive at Toyota on Thursday.

3. Dinner with friends

After the race yesterday, hubby and I had dinner with friends at one of our favorite mexican places. Two of them had not been there to try their fabulous margaritas. Seriously, best margaritas hands down. Wish I could say the service was the best hands down. Our waiter seemed annoyed that he had to wait on us.

The Best Margarita!

4. Taxes

I need to do our taxes today. Really not looking forward to it. I had two consulting/contract jobs last year that will be a pain. Wish me luck!

5. Cleaned closet

Yesterday I cleaned out part of my closet. I have two bags of shirts (mainly race shirts) to donate to charity. I also donated three old pairs of walking shoes at the race. One pair was almost brand new – but they hurt my feet.

6. Budget

Since it looks like a new car will be in my near future, it is time for me to set a budget. Any tips? Favorite apps? I am definitely open to all info.

That’s all for today! Have a great Sunday!

  1. I’m sorry to hear that you were in pain during the walk. Sounds like you’re making the right decision by seeing your doctor though – good luck.

I use an old-fashioned Excel spreadsheet for my budget since it’s the clearest way for me to really customize it to my liking. But I’ve used in the past and liked that.

  2. I’m sorry to hear about your leg issues! I hope they can figure out what the problem is! I love your green top – so cute!
