September 2015 Goal Checkup

Today is the LAST day of September. After today we are in the 4th quarter of 2015. There are 92 days left in the year starting tomorrow. Time to check up on my 2015 goals.

2015 Goals

Yoga at least 1 – 2x per month – I have made the decision to take this goal off my list. Check out why I felt like giving up on this goal was the right decision for me.

Walk an average of one 5K per month – I am still at 10 5Ks for the year. However, I am officially registered for two – one on Halloween and one on Thanksgiving. I may not do anymore than that since I will just be getting my foot back to normal (hopefully). I am also doing two one-milers during October. I plan to talk to my physical therapist more about this today when I see her.

Start online health and fitness coaching business – Exciting news! You can check out my VIP Program here and my Walk Your Way to a 5K program here. Super excited about both of these and even more to come.

Give/sell things I am not using and stop buying things I don’t truly need – I am going shopping with Mom on Saturday to buy some new Fall/Winter clothes. I suspect after that I will purge some older items from my closet.

Utilize standing desk at work more often – Still on hold. However, I have the Apple Watch now and it helps me remember to stand at least one minute every hour for 12 hours. Its not much, but at least I don’t get settled in at my computer anymore. Once given the approval by my physical therapist though, I want to get back to standing at least half my day.

Bench press 150 pounds by end of yearHUGE change on this one since August’s recap. I am currently at 75 pounds (10 reps). I only need to increase by 5 pounds per week to complete by year end. This goal really excites me. And scares me as 75 pounds was HEAVY.

Some other things I did this month:

  • Target practice with a friend of mine
  • Traded to the iPhone 6+
  • Bought an Apple Watch
  • GNO with one of my girlfriends to talk about the essential oils just bought
  • Went off-roading on Labor Day
  • Cheered hubby and friends on for a half-marathon
  • Finally got my car washed
  • Family dinner for my Mom’s birthday
  • Gave presentation on Facebook advertising (again)

Did you know that today is National Women’s Health and Fitness Day? Grab a friend and head out for a walk or take a class at your gym! It is so important as women that we realize that WE have to take charge of our own health. Yes you may be worrying about other’s health, but you need to make YOU a priority.
