Good morning and Happy Saturday! I had intended to make it to yoga today, but with my coughing, wheezing, and blowing my nose every 5 minutes, decided it wasn’t the best idea. I know I don’t like when people come to fitness classes sick. Our area is being hit hard by illnesses – especially colds and the flu.
With the start of a new year, most bloggers have done a post about goals or resolutions for 2015. Here are some of my favorites that I wanted to share!
It’s my blog…I’ll post when I want to… by Beki – I love this! We all start blogs for many reasons and then wind up comparing our blogs to others. You will definitely see more “me” this year in my blog as well. There will still be fitness and health, good food, 31 products, bunnies, gadgets, and more.
My Word for 2015 by Brooke – Many bloggers choose one word to define their year. I LOVE Brooke’s word – CREATE. What a fantastic idea. What are you going to create this year?
Tips for a Healthy New Year by Anne – Okay, not a resolution post, but one I wanted to share anyways. Her number 1 really struck with me. Make exercise FUN not a chore. That’s what I will be trying to do in 2015. Find the fun in exercise. Make it I GET to exercise not I HAVE to exercise.
5 Tips for a #NewYearNewView by Virgie – Love Virgie and her thinking. Instead of focusing on New Year, New You. Let’s focus on New Year, New View. A view in which you are perfect as you are to have a fantastic year. A year in which weight loss is off the table as a goal. You don’t have to lose weight in order to do the items on your bucket list or resolutions. Concentrate on being a better you or having more fun instead of being a smaller you.
January 2015 Organization Calendar by Julie – Love this! Julie created her own January calendar to get organized using other calendars as inspiration. Maybe you want to follow along with Julie, maybe you want to create your own. Maybe you don’t have time during the week so you create an entire year’s worth of organizing plans (if you do – PLEASE come back and share!).
A Look Ahead – 2015 Goals by Abby – I love that Abby divided her goals into Running goals, Nutrition goals, and Personal goals. You may even want to add Business goals, Family goals, Finance goals, etc. Under her personal goals, I love – don’t over-schedule / allow myself more free time. I feel exactly the same way. Some weeks I look at my calendar and I have something every evening after work and on the weekends. Then I stress about all I have to do and have zero time to rest. Those are great goals for everyone!
Healing Through Intention In 2015 by Sarah – I love all of Sarah’s goals and I loved that she noted if they were ongoing or what month she intended to do them. If you set a lot of goals that maybe aren’t for the beginning of the year, this is a great way to format it. I am also super excited to see the personal organizer that she is creating!
Make a New Year’s Revolution by Ragen – Another fabulous body positive blogger, Ragen says make a New Year’s Revolution, not Resolution. I love the resolve to not participate in negative body talk. Probably all of us women (and many men as well), have said “I hate XXX about my body.” Resolve to not speak that way about your body – the only place you have to live. Instead work on finding your true beauty. For example, instead of hating on my big thighs, I can love them for propelling me through a 5K.
Okay, I think that is enough sharing for now! Have a fabulous Saturday and I will see you on Monday!
