Saturday Shares

Since I skipped yesterday’s Fabulous Friday Five, I thought I would share some tweets and blog posts with you today. Hope you enjoy!

It’s Easier To Add Than Subtract by Kath – On the path to healthy living, it is easier to add rather than subtract. Add a 10 minute walk. Add spinach to your morning smoothie. Don’t start stressing about what you can’t have.

Making Dietary Changes {Without Going Nuts} by Caitlin – And another blog post that talks about thinking about what you CAN have. And planning ahead whether you are going to the grocery store or eating out.

Real Food Meal Planning Using Staple Foods in 8 Steps by Sarah – Sarah’s blog has quickly become one of my favorite to read. Meal planning is something I know I need to do, but just haven’t done yet. Sarah offers 8 steps for real food meal planning. She also offers her services to provide 3 day meal plans or 50 item shopping lists. I did her 3 day meal plan service and have great ideas for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and desserts based on my food likes/dislikes.

Find Your Why: An Indoor Cycling Profile by Courtney – I always see treadmill or elliptical workouts, but this is the first cycling workout I have seen, so I wanted to share it with you. You could do this on a spinning bike, a recumbent bike, or your bike on an indoor trainer.

20 Ways to Conquer the Winter Blues by Rachel – Most of the country was in record low temps, snow, and ice for a good portion of this week. Rachel offers up some ways to conquer the winter blues that you may be experiencing. I seem to be working on number 16 – cleaning out my closet. Which ones could help you?

Tips for Packing Everything in a Carry-On Suitcase by Julie – Taking a trip and wanting to travel with just a carry on? Julie offers excellent ideas to help you do just that.

And a bonus blog post . . .

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies by Kendra – Yes, I know these are in no way healthy, but don’t they sound AMAZING. Peanut butter cups are my favorites.

What are your weekend plans? What can you ADD into your lifestyle instead of subtract?

Have a healthy day!
