Monday again! It is back to work I go. My four days off didn’t exactly turn out as planned. For one, there was no swimming/pool time. Mainly because there was hardly any sun – it rained pretty much the whole four days. Needless to say everything is wet and green. In fact, we are beating Seattle in rainfall for the year. At this point, I have no idea when the yard will be dry enough to mow. We have a chance of rain every day this week.
I did get to go shopping with my Mom Saturday morning. While it rained on our way up there, it stopped almost as soon as we got up there. Thank goodness. We even saw the sun a little while we were there. Of course it started raining almost as soon as we got back home. Check out my purchases:
My goal was to buy 5-10 tops/tshirts. I actually bought 14 tops AND a pair of capris. The even better news – I only spent HALF of the money that I budgeted. Gotta love sales. I am set for the rest of the summer. And when I returned with my new purchases, I pulled 15 old items out of my closet. Stained and torn went in the trash, still usable but not for me is going to Goodwill.

The third week of Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp was a tough one. I just wasn’t into it with all the rain and having a different schedule. I could have stayed on the couch/in bed the whole time. But I didn’t!
- Monday – Walked outside – 38 minutes / 2.05 miles
- Tuesday – Workout A (strength) + hula hooping
- Wednesday – Rest Day
- Thursday – Functional Fitness – cleaned the whole house – TWICE
- Friday – Rest Day
- Saturday – 20 minute HIIT workout on the elliptical
- Sunday – 10 minute FitnessGlo videos – core, upper body, lower body (total 30 minutes)
We had intended to go biking yesterday, but didn’t get to due to the rain/wet roads. I am really enjoying the FitnessGlo videos. You can select the duration, your level, the style and go. They have longer classes (the longest is 45 minutes), but I enjoyed the variety of doing 10 minute classes.
My personal goals for last week and this coming week are:
- Plank as long as possible
- Do a 10 minute FitnessGlo stretch video
Again the goal is to get 5 out of 7 days for the personal goals. I did 5 days of planks and 6 days of stretching. My longest plank was 42 seconds. Not bad for starting over. Surely I can make my 1:30 goal by year end.
My tentative schedule for this week:
- Monday – Workout A (strength) + Cardio (elliptical)
- Tuesday – Rest Day
- Wednesday – Cardio
- Thursday – Yoga and Hoops
- Friday – Rest Day
- Saturday – Workout B (strength) + Cardio
- Sunday – Cardio
I am going to have to be flexible again this week. Normally my health coach meetings are spread out and this week I have three of them. I love getting to talk to my clients so either way is a WIN.
Also on tap this week is a mammogram. Have you had yours for the year? Is it scheduled? Mammograms are truly quick and fairly painless, yet so important (in my opinion).
