The Mountain Climber Challenge

Today’s challenge is the mountain climber challenge. Challenge a friend or co-worker and see who can do the most.

Benefits of Mountain Climbers:

  • can do almost anywhere
  • a full body workout
  • a few of the muscles they work: deltoids, biceps, triceps, pectoralis major, obliques, rectus abdominals, lower trapezius, latissimus dorsi, quadriceps, hamstrings, hip adductors, hip abductors
  • benefit both muscular and cardiovascular fitness
  • improves flexibility, blood circulation, and overall strength

How to do a Mountain Climber:

  • start in press up position with hands directly under chest, shoulder-width apart with straight arms
  • your body should form a straight line from your shoulders to your ankles
  • lift your right foot and slowly raise your knee as close to your chest as possible
  • return to starting position and repeat with left leg
  • continue alternating until reps or time completed
