Good morning and Happy Monday! Hope all you Moms out there had an amazing Mother’s Day. I will do a recap of our day later in the week. Mom has some beautiful flowers I want to show you. And on a side note, I am STILL waiting on my peonies to bloom.
Guess what I did last night?
My first walk since surgery! It was such a beautiful day, thanks Mother Nature. Hubby asked me to go bike riding with him, but biking is on my list of no-nos per the doctor. So hubby rode while I walked. It felt really good to be walking. I tried to keep it slow and steady and stopped a little after a mile. When I got home, I took some Tylenol just in case my leg began bothering me. I hope to get out a couple more days this week because I signed up for a 1 mile fun walk on Sunday.
My scar is starting to itch which I take as a good sign that it is healing. I am putting Vitamin E oil on it twice a day now.
It has been a while since I have done a Monday Motivation, so I thought I would share some motivation today!
Even if you just have 10 or 20 minutes, do something active! Lift some weights, go for a quick run/walk, do some stretches. When it comes to workouts, something is ALWAYS better than nothing. Work at an office all day like me? Get up at least every 30 minutes (if you can) and move a little. I walk the halls at our office.
I love these rules. Don’t forget how important sleep is. Do you have a glass of water in hand now? If not, go grab one. Keep a glass or bottle of water with you at all times.
I love this because it says there is room for every type of food. Yes, even cake. Life is not about being perfect – it is about making progress.
