Monday. Here Again?

Here we go again! Monday is HERE! Are you ready? In case you missed it, Color Me Rad was Saturday and I blogged about it here.

Yesterday afternoon I prepped some celery and carrots for the week. While prepping I decided to pull out my juicer. I made carrot and apple juice. I was surprised how much I liked it, but it seemed like a lot of work (especially cleanup) for so little juice. Plus, seemed like there was a LOT leftover that just got thrown away. Do you juice?

Carrot Apple Juice

Last week was the final week of bootcamp. My workouts were:

  • Monday – 10 minute arms, 10 minutes elliptical, 10 minute stretch video
  • Tuesday – 1.8 mile walk in 36 minutes, 10 minute stretch video
  • Wednesday – 10 minute arms, 10 minutes elliptical, 10 minute stretch video
  • Thursday – rest day
  • Friday – 10 minute arms, 10 minutes elliptical, 10 minute stretch video
  • Saturday – Color Me Rad 5K
  • Sunday – rest day

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday were MORNING workouts. I added in 10 minute elliptical. I am going to continue with the same overall plan this week. I am going to increase the weights I use for arms and try to increase my speed/intensity on the elliptical. Tuesday and Thursday will be walking in the evening (assuming the weather holds out).

I found this on Facebook and wanted to share. It is not one meal, one workout, or one rest day that will make you fit or fat. It is what you do 80-90% of the time. If you are just starting on your path to health and fitness, start slow making small changes (reduce the number of sodas you drink, go for a 10 minute walk, etc.).

Fit or Fat

This week consists of more health coach studying (almost done – 3 more modules to go), family dinner, workouts, work, and more.

How was your weekend? Run any races? Share something good! What’s your workout schedule for the week? Anything exciting happening this week?

Enjoy your day!

  1. i hate having to throw out juice pulp too – sometimes i bake bread with the pulp – sneak in those veggies & fruits! 🙂

I don’t juice, and it seems like a terrible waste to throw out all that fiber! I like Linz’s idea of baking or cooking with the pulp. Depending on the fruit/veggie, I bet you could put it in spaghetti sauce and never notice. Carrot & apple pulp seems like it would be especially good in spaghetti sauce; it might thicken the sauce and sweeten it!

My weekend was good- I finally got out in the woods and saw some nature! And I accidentally found a geocache! http://www.geocaching.com
