Making This Week a Success . . .

Good morning and Happy Monday! Did you watch the Super Bowl? I watched til about 9:30. Apparently I missed some of the best parts. I mainly watched for the commercials. Although I fell asleep before they played my favorite – The Clydesdales! Click on the link to be taken to the video! I also loved the M&M commercial and the Best Buy commercial.

Dinner was a salad and a lobster tail followed by a piece of red velvet cake. Yummy! Thanks to my mom for alerting us to a sale on lobster tails – $6 each and my mother-in-law for sending us the red velvet cake.

Yesterday afternoon I headed to the wellness center for a yoga class. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It was all about holding poses and going deeper into the stretches. This morning I did a plank, my first round of squats, and my arm workout.

According to the FitFluential DietBet I am participating in, I have 14 days to lose 5.5 pounds and get a share of the winner’s pot. I am definitely going to be concentrating on this for the next two weeks. There are 583 players for a total of $14,575 in the pot.

My plan of action:

  • Drink LOTS of water
  • No alcohol during this time
  • Continue with my planned workouts
  • Fit in a few extra workouts
  • When eating out, really think about what I am ordering
  • Log everything – food, water, activity
  • Chew sugar-free gum when I get hungry
  • Add in more fruits and vegetables
  • Don’t stress about it!
