Fun Fitness on the Horizon

Good morning and Happy Hump Day! Last night was a perfect night of sleep. Feel asleep somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00 and woke up naturally 10 minutes before my alarm was going to go off. Yeah for great sleep!

Resumed my activity yesterday with a spin on the elliptical. Tonight will be SPINNING. Next week there is more fun fitness on the horizon! I have signed up for two classes that I am really excited about.

The first is a Beginner’s Yoga class. While I have done yoga on and off for years, I haven’t done it consistently in quite a while (years). The class description reads “Our new, 6 week, Intro to Yoga series will enable you to develop greater flexibility, strength, and balance. You will start with basic postures and continue to build from there throughout the 6 weeks. It is time to let your body feel the way it deserves!” I figure this will be a great way to get back into yoga consistently and make sure I am doing the poses correctly. The second class is a TRX Suspension class. I have ALWAYS wanted to try TRX. The class description reads, “This series benefits people of all fitness levels and delivers a fast, efficient total-body workout. Over 6 weeks you will learn proper positioning and technique to train safely and effectively with suspension training. Integrating bootcamp style exercises with the suspension trainer you will improve muscular endurance and recovery time for everyday activities to athletic competitions.” As long as I don’t fall flat on my face I should be fine.

My goal is to make March a fun, fitness month with those classes, two 5Ks, and more.

Do you like group workout classes? What is your favorite? Have you ever tried TRX? Any advice?

Enjoy the day!

  1. Those will both be so fun! I love both yoga and TRX is such a great workout but really is a lot of fun to do because of the new moves. I hope you love both too!
