Friday's Fabulous Five . . .

Good morning and TGIF! This week seems to have gone by fairly quickly. I have been bad about taking pictures again this week – even with my new fancy phone. Main reason for that is I don’t like the case I got for the phone. It is super cute, but not very functional. A different case arrives in the mail today and I am hoping Otterbox hurries up their production line so I can get one of theirs.

Found this on Facebook and wanted to share:

Let’s get started with Friday’s Fabulous Five . . .

Five Must Read Blog Posts

20 Ways To Mix Up Your Strength Training Routine by Tina – I always love Tina’s posts and this one is no different. We all know how important strength training is and Tina offers 20 ways to mix up your strength routine. Did you know there were this many ways to change-up your strength workout?

Nutrition Compromises by Kath – I love Kath’s list of nutrition tips she just can’t follow and ones that she embraces. The biggest one I don’t follow – never eat XXX. I believe everything in moderation. The one I am trying my hardest to embrace – watching my portions.

Short Daily Workouts: Easing Back In by Angie – If you are coming off an injury or possibly haven’t worked out in ages, easing back into daily workouts is the best way to go. Angie shows her first week of workouts back from her injury.

Eating Healthy When Life is Busy by Madeline – Madeline is quite busy these days being a mom, expecting her second child, moving, and prepping for grad school. In this post she offers up 4 tips for eating healthy when life is busy. Since we all get crazy busy at times, these are great tips to file away (or even follow on a weekly basis).

I guess these are tips lol by Tanee – Tanee is certainly qualified to offer weight loss tips as she has lost TWO HUNDRED POUNDS. I love each and every tip she offers and plan to put them somewhere that I can refer to them often. I especially like #17 – Change Your Attitude. What tip speaks most to you?

  1. That last tweet is really true, if you can’t keep it up, it probably won’t work in the long run

  2. i love the tweet about creating habits not restrictions. i’m super excited to read kath’s post because i was just thinking this morning about certain nutritional “rules” that i really just don’t ever want to have to follow. i am trying to be at peace with accepting that instead of forcing myself to follow them and be unhappy.

  3. Thanks for sharing my post. It’s been a struggle for some time with that foot fracture. I have been determined to get back to it and this was a bit slower than last but I’m getting there.

This weekend we are running errands, doc appt and going out with friends. I haven’t had a lot of time to read blogs as I took on a new full time online position as an operations manager. It is keeping me busy as I’m learning a lot of techy stuff.

Have a great weekend! And thanks for always supporting my blog. I appreciate you.

  4. I love TrainDirtyFitness’s tweets! The last one especially because it’s true. I hate when people say they’re going to go on a diet for 2 months. THEN WHAT?????
