HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! TGIF! Today is Halloween, Friday, and payday. What could be better? This morning I go see the cornea specialist for what I hope is the last time for a year. I should be released today. Also trying to get rid of this cold once and for all. Thought I had done so well yesterday and it all came back about 1AM this morning.
Just listened to our local weather forecast and they are calling for SNOW tonight! They are saying we will wake up to snow in the trees tomorrow but that it won’t stick to the ground. Hubby and I are going to an OUTDOOR wedding tomorrow evening. We will definitely be bundling up.
Let’s get started with Friday’s Fabulous Five . . .
Five Must Read Blog Posts
Beginner’s Guide To Mindfulness and Meditation by Lindsay – Lindsay shares a guest post by Emily talking about what exactly mindfulness is and how to start a meditation practice. Love reading that walking can actually be meditation.
Keep It Up! Shred Mill Workout #1 by Sarah – Moving your workouts indoors due to the cold? Sarah offers up a great treadmill workout. Not a runner, this can certainly be adapted for walkers. Just walk, walk a little faster, then walk as fast as possible.
5 Ways to Stay Active Outdoors This Winter by Tina – Not looking to move your workouts indoors this winter? Tina offers up 5 ways to stay active outdoors during the winter. Personally, I vote for walking!
Yoga Sequences: Around The World by Tina – Tina puts together a sequence of yoga poses starting with down dog. She walks you through step and step and tells (and shows you) exactly what to do. You end the sequence in a forward fold. With everything being standing poses, you don’t even need a mat and can probably do this almost anywhere!
Mohawk Hudson River Half Marathon by Heather – You have to check out this race recap (I love reading race recaps by the way). Heather talks about running her very first half marathon. This is a long one, so grab some water or coffee, but it is definitely worth reading it. I love the smile on Heather’s face in her finisher’s photo!
