TGIF!!! Another Friday is here! And it looks to be a beautiful day here in East Tennessee. Thinking I may need to do some of my work OUTSIDE in the fresh air. This weekend is supposed to be beautiful as well, then the storms reappear next week.
Let’s get started with Friday’s Fabulous Five . . .
Five Instagram Photos From The Week
In case you are not following me on Instagram, here are a few photos from the week! (And make sure to go follow me when you have time!)
This little guy was in the master bathroom Monday when I got home. After I freaked out a little, then took pictures, I scooped him up in this cup and took him outside so he could be free.
My mom brought me these beautiful pink earrings back from France. LOVE them!
Wednesday night is sushi night and the special roll was amazing. Sesame tuna with a pineapple topping. Yum!
My knockout roses are still blooming!
Wearing my new Urban Decay Mrs. Mia Wallace lipstick and my new Premiere Jewelry necklace!
Five Must Read Blog Posts
Guest RD: What Does 100 Calories Look Like? by Kath – Love this guest post on Kath’s blog. For people who are visual, this shows what 100 calories of different foods looks like. For example you could have 3 clementines for 100 calories or 5 Hershey kisses. You could have 1.5 eggs (lots of great protein) or 13 gummy bears.
5 Simple Diet Changes by Lindsay – Love these 5 suggestions from Lindsay to make to your diet. The first one is start reading the ingredient list. Can you pronounce everything on it? Do you know all of the ingredients? If you can’t, maybe you should put that item back. Check out her blog for the other 4 tips.
The Best Sneakers For Your Workout by Sarah – Not all sneakers are created to work for all workouts. Sarah discusses the different kinds of sneakers and there is even a video for you to watch. A note from me is – make sure to get good fitting shoes. Go to a running store (even if you walk) and get fitted properly. That made all the difference in the world to me.
Reese’s Cup Peanut Butter Cookies by Kendra – These are completely unhealthy but they look DELICIOUS. If you love Reese’s Cups, these are the cookies for you. Kendra has some amazing recipes for all types of food (both healthy and unhealthy). Follow her blog for some delicious food. Then let me know if you are making any – I will come for dinner!
5 Tips for Healthy Eating on The Go by FitFluential – On the road all the time or just crazy busy? FitFluential offers 5 tips for making smart choices when you are on the go. I love step 3 – Prepare. I try to always keep raw, unsalted almonds at my desk or in my purse (especially if I think I will be gone awhile). They are great for a quick healthy snack.
