Friday’s Fabulous Five . . .

TGIF! This crazy week is coming to an end and I am ready for the weekend. Luckily my weekend is mostly unplanned and unscheduled. The only thing I must do is a 31 meeting Saturday morning. I never mind those because I get to see good friends and 31 always rewards us with an awesome amenity. Saw this yesterday and LOVED it:

Time for Friday’s Fabulous Five . . .

Five Must Read Blog Posts

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potato Wedges by Lindsay – I LOVE sweet potato fries (the baked kind), but cannot perfect them myself. Lindsay’s recipe looks delicious and I will definitely be giving it a try. I like the fact these are wedges, probably easier to cut. Cayenne is one of my favorite seasonings so I will have to be careful not to overdo it!

Move with Intention by Kaila – How are you incorporating movement in your life? Move with intention. Love this post by Kaila. Definitely a read, save, and refer to often kind of post.

Is Amazon Prime Worth $99 Per Year? by Danielle – The short answer is YES. The long answer is go read Danielle’s post where she breaks down WHY it is a good deal. We use Amazon all the time at our house. I have even started buying household items like toilet paper and toothpaste. Since I also have a Kindle, I love the lending library and the opportunity to get a free book each month. While I would have preferred Amazon stay at $79 per year, the increase to $99 per year is still a great deal in my mind.

5 Tips for Jumpstarting a Healthy Lifestyle by Tina – We all need a jumpstart now and then. Tina shares 5 tips for jumpstarting a healthy lifestyle.
If you have “fallen of the wagon” or are struggling, these are great tips. My favorite is do one healthy thing immediately!

Are you Fed Up? The #1 thing you must do to improve your health. by Pam – Love this post. Really makes you stop and think. Especially the statement that “Over 95% of Americans will be overweight or obese in 2 decades.” That’s pretty scary. The ultimate takeaway – eat less processed foods. Fewer items from boxes, bottles, cans, and tubs. More fruit, veggies, eggs, and water.

Five Motivational Tweets

One of my new favorite things to do Fridays before work (since I work from home)? Fix my breakfast (usually a smoothie) and go sit outside on the front porch and read. The temps are still bearable and it is so peaceful. So, I am off to get ready!

What do you have planned for the weekend? Share something good with me!

Have a healthy day!
