Happy Hump Day! I have a more serious post I am working on, but it is not ready yet. So, I thought I would share a few things I have been working on/doing.
My Fitbit Charge from Verizon arrived Monday!!! (Disclosure: I received the FitBit charge for free as part of a campaign I am working on with Verizon through FitFluential). Super excited to try this out. Monday I got over 4,000 steps in 3 hours and yesterday I logged over 10,000 steps! It and my phone are having a few issues, but I am working on them. One thing I love about Fitbits are all the metrics they track – including active minutes and flights of stairs walked. For example, yesterday it shows me walking 19 flights of stairs and having 50 active minutes! Once I use it for a while, I will do a complete review.
With yesterday being St. Patrick’s Day, I added extra greens to my morning smoothie! If you are like me and don’t like a ton of veggies, adding spinach to a smoothie is a great way to get them in. While it doesn’t look pretty, you truly cannot taste the spinach.
I got to have lunch yesterday with this beautiful munchkin, her mom, and her other “aunties.”

She had made all of us aunties a personalized St. Patrick’s Day card. Love this child!
After work I met up with my friend K for a walk. It was actually on a trail/greenway super near my house that I had never done before. The weather was perfect – about 70 degrees! It is so much more fun walking with a friend. Having someone to talk to makes those minutes/miles/steps go by in a flash.
When I got home hubby was out biking (and getting groceries for dinner), so I spent about an hour on our front porch reading and enjoying this view! During Spring and Fall I love sitting on our front porch in the evenings. During the heat of the summer it is too hot because the sun sets facing the porch.
On the agenda today is work (and lots of it), lunch with mom, the gym, and sushi night with hubby!
