It's Friday!

TGIF! And I truly mean that.

Last night was rough, I woke up with a Charley Horse in the leg where I just had surgery. I still haven’t worked it completely out. My guess is that even though I normally eat a banana every day, I haven’t been working this leg out (obviously) or stretching it (because the incision pulls). I am hoping the hot water from the shower helps.

Crab & Shrimp Boil

I am looking forward to Sunday and celebrating with our Moms. I wanted to share our Mother’s Day Crab & Shrimp Boil recipe with you:

  • 5 lbs of crab
  • 2.5 pounds of shrimp
  • 2 packages low-fat kielbasa
  • 1 ear corn per person
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 Zatarain’s Crawfish, Shrimp & Crab Boil in Bag

The order it goes into the pot is: seasoning and lemon, kielbasa, corn, crab, then shrimp. This feeds 5-6 people PLUS leftovers for crab and shrimp salad. Some crab and shrimp boils add new potatoes, but we decided that was just too much food. We are praying for good weather Sunday so that we can eat outside.
