Hello and Happy Thursday! First up, some beautiful Spring flowers courtesy of my mom’s yard:
While I had planned to do Core Barre Monday, Group Training Tuesday, and Core Barre Wednesday; I wound up at Core Barre all three days. Why? Because I enjoy it. I definitely get a full body workout, but I enjoy the other people in the class and the instructors.
SHOULD I be doing more weight lifting? Yes. Am I going to stress over it right now? NO. The fact of the matter is that I am out there doing SOMETHING. And something trumps nothing. My love for Core Barre may only last a month or two until I switch it up. Who knows?
I keep telling myself that my gym membership is THREE years (new huge gym and everyone had to sign a new contract). I have plenty of time to take the different classes and there will always be something to do.
And like Beki, I have friends that do all kinds of activities. And I admire them all. Especially runners. Those people doing half marathons – that’s more than I drive per day. While I would love to be able to run with my hubby or have him take group classes with me, I don’t see that happening. And that is OK. We are both doing what we enjoy and getting in some activity at the same time.
Have you considered taking a barre class? Core Barre seems to be a phrase just our gym uses. You can find barre classes under Barre3, Pure Barre, Neighborhood Barre, and others. FitnessGlo which I have talked about before also has some barre classes.
