Hello and Happy Monday! Let’s talk COLOR!
As you know, I have a fondness for all color races, but especially Color Me Rad. They just do it better from start to finish than anyone else out there. And no, I am not an ambassador for them and I wasn’t paid to say this. We paid for our own entries and I bought a hoodie at packet pickup (another tradition).
This year’s theme is Bigger, Badder, Radder. And I would say it was all the way around. We lucked out and had amazing weather for the race – seriously couldn’t have asked for better.
Here I am with the munchkin. The munchkin, her parents, and her grandmother walked the race with hubby and myself. These types of races are definitely more fun with friends and family. And if you haven’t ever done a Color Me Rad race, it is about having fun, not being fast. I love that there is no timer, no chips on your bib, etc. The majority of participants do walk or run/walk.
The Color Me Rad emcee is AMAZING! He has been here at each race in Knoxville and he gets the crowd pumped up and ready each time. He is definitely high energy!
This group in front of us at the start line had brought their own color and bought some extras! They were quite colorful before the race even started and were posing for pictures.
How adorable is she?
And the end result . . .
I really want to commend my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for taking some fabulous pictures through all the dust and sun. There were many instances I just pointed and took the pictures and couldn’t even see what was on the screen. I had a full layer of the color on my phone at the end. Thankfully it does all come off easily.
Next up for 5Ks? The Dogwood Classic 5K in two weeks. To date I have done 6 out of my 12 5Ks for 2015.
Today starts the GYPO Spring Style Challenge. I will probably start devoting one post per week to show you my outfits and discuss how things are going.
Have you ever done a color race? How was your weekend?
