Best Body Bootcamp Week 7 Update

Good morning! How’s your weekend going? Very happy this morning – the Vols won big last night. 51-13 over Georgia State. Our real test comes next week against Florida. GO BIG ORANGE!

Friday night was dinner with hubby and friends – always a great time. Check out the fabulous necklace/bracelet that my friend A brought me. It is magnetic. There are so many different ways you can wear it. Thanks A!

Saturday morning was spin class. Spin class was almost a bust though. Last Saturday I had called and reserved my bike for the 8AM class. There were only 5 people there. So this week I figured I didn’t need to bother and call. WRONG! Apparently everyone didn’t show up last week due to Labor Day. Thankfully there was a no-show and I got a space in the class. Five minutes late, so I didn’t get the warmup, but I got to spin. I learned a very important lesson: Always have a Plan B!

I was bummed when I thought I wasn’t going to get to spin and due to my schedule for the day I couldn’t wait for the 9AM class. So while I was waiting, my thoughts ran to – what will I do now? My plan was to head back home and do some H.I.I.T. training on the elliptical. What’s your plan B?

After my spin class I headed home to shower and clean up. Guess what I had done yesterday? A professional photo shoot for headshots. Remember my friend who owns Haas Designs? He was kind enough to take a few photos of me. I needed one for our website at work and a few for the blog. I can’t wait to see how they turned out.

Neither one of us really knew where we wanted to go to dinner last night. We started with Chuy’s. They have been open for over a month now and still have incredible wait times. One hour was the wait time we were told. We declined and left. We sat in the car for quite a while trying to decide where to go. Ultimately we landed on Cru Bistro & Wine Bar. We haven’t been there in probably a year. It was a good choice and I splurged. Check out my dinner.

Just had to try dessert when our server said “chocolate hazelnut cheesecake made with nutella.” YUMMY!

Today’s agenda includes blogging, laundry, some cleaning, and a workout. We haven’t decided if we are going walking/running or biking yet, but it is a beautiful day so either of those works for me.

I cannot believe we are heading into Week 8 of Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp.

My two personal goals this week were (and I will keep them the same this last week):

* Drink 64oz of H2O
* Journal

Drinking water just makes me feel better. It requires quite a few trips to the bathroom during the day, but water is so good for you. There is really no reason NOT to drink at least 64 ounces a day.

My workouts were once again cardio. I wound up with a pulled muscle (think constant Charley Horse) and moving helped stretch it out. It has taken almost all week, but the pain has mainly subsided. WOOHOO!!!

Speaking of my calf, I head to an MRI on Tuesday and a follow-up appointment with the specialist on Thursday.

Don’t forget that Tina is offering Best Body Bootcamp Round 3. I will let you know when registration is available.

Do you have big plans this week? Are your workouts scheduled? What was the best thing you ate this week?

Enjoy your day!

    So glad you got into your spin class. I quit my gym because I found I wasn’t going more than 2x a month to spin with all the running. However now I really miss it!
