Good morning and Happy Tuesday! Week 5 of Tina‘s Best Body Bootcamp is in the books. Before we talk more about bootcamp, let me tell you about yesterday.
The good: My new car is FINISHED. I had ordered some accessories when I bought the car and they were installed yesterday. The car now has bluetooth (for hands free talking), a USB port (can plug my iPhone in and listen to music on my stereo), and window deflectors. I had window deflectors on my Rav4 and loved them. They are perfect for hot summer days. Crack your windows to let air in, but the windows are shielded from pop-up storms.
More good: Not having a car, I had planned on just eating a clif bar at work for lunch. Very thankful for my friend A who came and got me for lunch. I really enjoy getting out at lunch and having that break from the office. Thanks A!
The bad: I rarely have allergy issues. Usually I chalk it up to being born here and being lucky. Something in the air yesterday affected me. During the day I started becoming congested, headache, etc. By the time I got home all I wanted to do was go to bed. Hubby gave me some of his allergy medicine and I relaxed for 2.5 hours. I have taken another allergy pill this morning. I can breathe through about 1/4 of my nose. Hopefully this will go away soon. It is hard to get ready for work when your nose is running and your eyes are watering.
Now to the bootcamp update.
Just to remind everyone: I am not following the “official” bootcamp workouts because I am one of Tina’s online personal training customers.
Week 5 was much better than week 4. Why?
Most of my workouts occurred in the AM before work. Got up, worked out, got ready and went to work. Then, whatever happened in the evening, my workout was complete. I really had a lot more energy when I worked out in the AM, but I am was exceptionally hungry all day. Each day I wrote something positive to motivate myself. I also walked on Sunday and took Aleve like my doctor suggested. My leg pain/numbness was almost non-existent. WOOHOO!!!
This week will be a mix of morning and evening workouts. I am also looking forward to walking a 5K with my friend J this Saturday. My bowling team is bowling Wednesday. We have been raising money for Bowl for Kids Sake (link to our bowling page if you wish to donate) to support Big Brothers, Big Sisters of East Tennessee.
As you know, I am really enjoying the H.I.I.T. worouts. This is a great article that mixes HIIT workouts with circuit training. Be sure and check it out!
Have a great Tuesday! Make it awesome!
