Since today is the last day of the month, I thought it would be a great time to review my 2015 goals. I cannot believe four months of 2015 have already come and gone. Time truly does fly.
Yoga at least 1 – 2x per month – I managed to make yoga one Saturday and also added in some yoga through GaiamTV. I will get to go to yoga this Saturday, but that counts for May. I should make more Saturday morning yoga classes during the summer since there aren’t as many 5Ks.
Walk an average of one 5K per month – I walked two 5Ks this month – Color Me Rad and Dogwood Classic. I have now done 7 out of 12 5Ks for the year. I am planning 1-3 for May. I will have to take June off due to some foot surgery I am having.
Start online health and fitness coaching business – I am very close to having my opt-in piece for my business finished. I am suffering perfection paralysis at the moment. It is 98% ready. Then I just have to add the plugin and coding for the piece.
Give/sell things I am not using and stop buying things I don’t truly need – Got a little off track with all my shopping, but for every piece of clothing I bought I donated or trashed two pieces of old clothing. And shoes were one in, one out. We also donated another round of race t-shirts. I have also tries to cut down on the amount of paper towels we use by buying a lot of high quality white dish rags for the kitchen.
Workout in the AM a few mornings a week – While last month I said I was removing this from the list, I have actually done my yoga video a few times in the morning.
Utilize standing desk at work more often – Still haven’t used it. Leaving it on the list.
Added a new goal last month:
Bench press 200 pounds by end of year – I have started working on my arms at the gym. Did a baseline test on the bench press and did 10 reps at 45 and 10 reps at 55. While I have a long way to go to meet this goal, I am excited about gaining upper body strength.
