Trial and Error

Good morning and Happy Sunday! This post is going to be a little different in that I am testing creating and publishing an entire blog post on my iPad. As you know my mind is in beach mode (leave Thursday). I am really hoping to NOT take my MacBook Pro. One less thing to drag around would be great. So, I am testing out the WordPress app on my iPad.

Yesterday was full of cleaning the house and errands. Target, Bath and Body, Aveda, and Krogers. Busy, busy. Also went to hubby’s race and watched him finish a 8.5 mile trail race. It was so humid for the runners. I was sweating just standing still and cheering.

This area was where the runners came out of and had about .1 mile left. To say they were excited and relieved is an understatement. I am trying to make this picture centered. We will see how it comes out once published.

Apparently the mosquitos were hanging out in that area yesterday. I woke up with 4 new bites this morning. We hear Folly Beach has a bad bug issue so we are taking lots of repellent.

This week will consist of work, family dinner, a pedicure, workouts, and more. And packing!

Want to see another picture from the MarbleCam app? This one is my hydrangeas.

Have a great Sunday! If you have any tips for blogging from an iPad, please leave them in the comments. Also, if you have restaurant recommendations for Folly Beach, please share.

  1. Well, it looks like you can leave your laptop at home! :-)
I got three mosquito bites standing in our yard with the dog for 5 min. :-(
Have a great time at the beach — don’t forget to slather on sunscreen.

Sunscreen and bug repellent packed! Laptop will stay home!

  2. have a great time!
now I may have to consider the WP app since I detest blogging via my ipad! lol

The WordPress app wasn’t that bad. To not have to take my laptop with me, I will make due!

Hi Leah! Don’t leave for vacation until Thursday. Just seeing if I can blog from the iPad. It looks like a success. Don’t want to drag my laptop with me.

  3. The WordPress app works pretty well. The most difficult part of blogging on the ipad is the keyboard. If someone was going to do it a lot it would really be a good investment to buy a keyboard. I’ve also done a couple posts entirely on my iphone. Now that’s a real PITA!

Have a great vacation. Leave the mac at home.

Thanks Debbie! I actually do that the small Apple wireless keyboard that I could take if necessary. I think I will just stick to the iPad keyboard. I don’t plan on blogging that much on vacation!

  4. Looks like you did just fine. Do you have the iPad that can take pictures? Or how did you get the images up in this post? I don’t use my iPad for blogging but I would like to sometimes.

I do have the WordPress app on my iPhone and have edited posts in draft but that’s about as far as I got with that.

Right now kitty has taken over the iPad playing the Friskies fishing games LOL

Really wish we could take our beach vacation this year but it’s not going to happen. We usually go to Jamaica every year but our kitty broke his leg twice in the last 4 months so we are going through his healing and well after a $6,000 investment, that would have been our vacation, well….

Can’t wait to see pictures of your beach vacation!

Hi Angie! Actually I take the majority of my pictures with my iphone and they transfer automatically (through the cloud) to my ipad. So, that’s how those pictures were on there. I also keep a ton of pictures (multiple GB) sync’ed to my iPad at all times. I am so ready to take some pictures at the beach.
