Three Things Thursday!!!

Good morning and Happy Thursday! How’s your week going? I miss waking up to the sights and sounds of the ocean. Luckily I did take 100s of pictures and two videos! My goal is to go through them this weekend. I will share my favorites in a blog post. Guess what else I am doing this weekend? Heading to the new Target in our area! WOOHOO!!!

Today I thought I would share three things with you!

1. One week from today I will be waking up in ATLANTA for the Thirty-One National Conference! Over 14,000 women. I have to admit I am quite anxious about the conference. I have never been to anything this size. I am also super excited about it because I love Thirty-One products and look forward to seeing the new fall line! Any suggestions for a conference this size?

This is actually the purse I have been carrying lately! Love the skirt purse and the blue skirt is perfect for the summer!

2. Don’t just focus on the scale, focus on non-scale victories! Clothes fitting looser? Rings looser? Doing heavier weights? Those are all non-scale victories!

3. I have mentioned that we are doing The Color Run in Nashville this fall because it is not offered in Knoxville. Well, Knoxville is getting a colorful race of its own! Color Me Rad 5K is coming to Knoxville! You better believe I will be signing up for this!

What upcoming races are you looking forward to? What non-scale victories have you experienced lately?

Enjoy your day!

Leah – So excited to hear you are doing the Color Run in Nashville also! We are making it a long weekend. Do you live in the Nashville area?

      • Sadly no – I lived there for five years, during and after college, and still have a lot of friends there. Now I’m back in Louisville. Nashville is such a great town though!!

  1. Awesome to get to do a color run. I want to do one so badly but it doesn’t come to Atlanta until the spring. So I have to be patient. That is a crazy large conference! I’ve only been to relatively small ones so no tips.

Crazy that I will be doing 2 color runs in the same month. Cannot wait! I will be in your neck of the woods next week at the conference. We are downtown at the Westin.

  2. One important thing that I did when I used to go to big conferences is always go to any luncheons you can. That’s the best opportunity to get to actually chat with people and get to know them. Also, if you go to a presentation try to sit near someone and start a conversation beforehand. Big conferences are so much more fun once you start making personal connections.

Thanks MCM Mama! Luckily everyone there will be by choice and this is a “fun” event. The size kind of intimidates me though.

  3. What does “Thirty-One” stand for/represent? Sounds like great fun!

    • Glenneth

Thirty-One is a direct sales company that sell purses, totes, accessories, etc. via home and catalog parties.

Thanks, I love the premise. Would like to do this is my area with friends and fam. Do you have to be a Christian to sell the products, like you? Must be fulfilling to support a company with biblical values!
Wonderful blog, love your motivation!! :-)

I am honestly not sure if you must be a Christian to work for 31. I think they truly accept everyone. Their real focus is to empower women.

  5. 14,000 women? Wow. I just got back from the Romance Writers of America National Conference, with about 1,800 women and thought that was huge. (Of course, this is coming from someone whose entire high school had less than 450 students.)

Be prepared for a lot of noise. The din from chatter when you get that many people together can be overwhelming.
