ONE! One more day of work and one more sleep until BEACH TIME! Want to see another picture of Folly Beach? I do. So looking forward to this mother/daughter time! I cannot wait to walk on the beach and in the ocean water.
Yesterday after work I headed to Planet Fitness for a quick, but intense workout. Check out what I did:
I felt like a badass in the weight area. Yes – like this:
I really enjoy strength training. I might have gone a little overboard yesterday, but it is a good kind of sore. The bench press/squat bar is “assisted” so that you can’t drop it or hurt yourself. This is great since I don’t have a spotter. I really want to encourage women not to be afraid of this area. Once again, I was the only female in the weight area. Strength training rocks ladies!

Looking for a great book on the subject? Try The New Rules of Lifting for Women: Lift Like a Man, Look Like a Goddess. This book goes into a lot of the science of strength training, but also has some great workouts.
After the weights I headed to the elliptical for a 10 minute H.I.I.T. workout. My arms and legs were jelly when I left the gym. The sign of a great workout.
Today’s agenda includes wrapping up a few work items and PACKING!
